In accordance with the provision of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, the Hon. Chief Judge of the State of Osun, Hon. Justice Oyebola Adepele Ojo, on Thursday 27th November, 2014 administered the Oath of Office on Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, as the executive Governor, State of Osun for a second term.
The Governor had emerged as the winner of the Gubernatorial Election held in the State of Osun on August 9, 2014 and had been returned by the Independent National Electoral Commission. The inauguration which was held at the Osogbo Township Stadium attracted dignitaries from across the country.
Earlier on the same day, the Hon. Chief Judge, who was assisted by the Chief Registrar of the State High Court, Mr L.O. Arojo, had administered oath of Office on Mrs Titilayo Laoye-Tomori, as the Deputy Governor, State of Osun, also for a 2nd term in office.
The Governor's First term in office expired midnight of 26th November, 2014 having assumed Office on 27th November, 2010.
